West Coast Afternoon Tea
Enjoy a soothing cup (or sip from a traditional porcelain gaiwan) at our innovative made-to-order West Coast Afternoon Tea service served in The Pacific Restaurant from 2:00pm – 4:30pm daily. Our afternoon tea pairs Asian influences with local, sustainable ingredients. Favourite bites blend sweet with savory and include mini quiches with Salt Spring Island goat cheese, green tea-cured wild salmon lox, bannock—a traditional First Nations bread, scones with fresh jams and delicate pastries. Reservations are required and can be made through Open Table or by calling 250-380-4458.
Victoria has a long association with tea, but we take it to the next level. Our tea program is heavily influenced by Asian culture, consisting of a custom mix of single-estate teas and blends, all presented in a culturally appropriate way. Our Teas are curated in the same way that a sommelier chooses a wine list, and we work very closely with Silk Road Tea Company’s resident Tea master Daniela Cubelic on both the selection and the presentation.
