Hotel Grand Pacific Offers Double the Valentine's Options for Celebrating Couples

Romantic menus offered in both The Mark and The Pacific Restaurant with wine and tea pairings
January 19, 2012; Victoria, B.C. – The Hotel Grand Pacific is extending their “What you want, where you want it” promise to Valentine’s diners this year, offering couples a number of ways to customize their romantic meal at both The Mark and The Pacific.
Located right on Victoria’s romantic Inner Harbour, February 14 dinner guests will be able to choose from a seven-course menu at the intimate and upscale Mark, or a three-course version in the casually elegant Pacific Restaurant. Additionally, Valentine’s cocktails, freshly shucked oysters, and a dessert made for sharing will be available from Friday, February 10, giving romantics flexibility in when they celebrate their love.
For those diners wishing to indulge in the hotel’s award-wining wine program, wine pairings for each of the dishes will be available. However, for those preferring to abstain from alcohol, the hotel’s respected tea program provides suggested pairings for each of the dishes as well, offering a complete gastronomic experience that can be enjoyed by all diners.
The Mark, one of Victoria’s most exclusive and romantic dining rooms, will offer a menu comprising seven courses for $159 per couple, with tea pairings priced at $18 per person, and wine pairings $45 per person. Highlights of the menu include the chilled seafood platter for two with freshly shucked oysters, beet gravlax of sockeye salmon and scallop ceviche; the seared sablefish served with beluga lentil ragout, roasted baby leeks and tomato hollandaise; and a chocolate tasting plate for two with a trio of dark, milk and white chocolate ganache, sparkle cookies, roasted strawberries, port truffles and raspberry biscotti. The Pacific Restaurant will offer diners a three-course version of The Mark’s menu for just $89 per couple, with tea pairings priced at $12 per person, and wine pairings $25 per person. The full menu can be accessed here.
The bar team at the Hotel Grand Pacific have created dreamy list of custom cocktails perfect for romance, which will be available from Friday, February 10 through to Valentine’s Day. Among the concoctions:
o Geisha: peppercorn-infused vodka, strawberry purée, topped with sparkling sake
o Cinnamon Heart: Silk Road Ruby Pagoda Tea, Goldschlager and a cinnamon stick
o Tender Heart: Campari, Fraise liqueur, orange juice and sparkling wine
