Theatres

Victoria's Community of Performing Arts offer year-round entertainment, including world-renowned touring performers, popular and accomplished local symphony and opera performances, and both professional and amateur theatre presentations.

Throughout the year Greater Victoria is host to many gala celebrations and festivals to entertain everyone in the family, including the hugely popular Symphony Splash held on the water of the Inner Harbour, Shakespeare, world music, flowers, jazz, visual arts, literature, boats, fringe theatre and much more.

Art Galleries

Victoria's place in the history of art was established by its most famous artist-in-residence, Emily Carr. Along with a broad collection of North American, European, and Asian art, many of Emily's works are on display in the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, one of Canada's leading art galleries. Private galleries throughout the Victoria area present works by local, national, and international artists.
